According to sources, activist Omoyele Sowore and the brother of detained IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, reportedly met with the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, in a bid to secure his support for an upcoming protest. El-Zakzaky was said to have pledged to mobilize thousands of his followers to participate.

Unconfirmed reports also suggest that participants may wear white instead of their usual black attire to avoid detection within the crowd.
In addition, secret meetings were reportedly held across major markets in the Federal Capital Territory, where traders were allegedly advised to close their shops in solidarity during the demonstration.
Security analysts have described the development as a potential coordinated effort rather than a spontaneous civil action. They urged security agencies, including the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Police Force, and the Nigerian Army, to investigate the matter and ensure that public safety is maintained.
