Tension as Nnamdi Kanu’s Special Counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, Slumps in Kuje Prison
The Special Counsel to the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, Aloy Ejimakor, has reportedly collapsed in Kuje Prison.
Eko Hot Blog reports that following the incident, Ejimakor was immediately rushed to the Kuje Medical Centre, where he is currently receiving treatment.

One of Kanu’s lawyers, Maxwell Opara, confirmed the development in a statement on Saturday.
“Yes, I went to see him and he was admitted at the Kuje Medical Centre, where they are treating him. I left a few hours ago,” Opara said.

He explained that the incident occurred before his arrival at the prison.
“We arrived there around 12, and I started hearing the news. As one of his lawyers and colleagues, I insisted on seeing him, and they took me to where he was receiving treatment. I also saw Sowore and others before being taken to see him,” he added.
Ejimakor’s collapse comes barely 24 hours after the presiding judge of the Kuje Magistrate Court, Abubakar Umar Sai’id, reportedly refused to sign his bail bond for release.
The Special Counsel was arrested on Monday alongside 12 others including Kanu’s younger brother, Prince Emmanuel Kanu during a “Free Nnamdi Kanu” protest in Abuja.
They were subsequently arraigned before the Kuje Magistrate Court by the Nigeria Police Force.
