Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, has warned that Nigeria could face a bleak future if President Bola Ahmed Tinubu fails to deliver on his promises, Eko Hot Blog reports.
Speaking during an interview on TVC on Tuesday, Sani said Tinubu holds a “historic opportunity to redefine Nigeria’s trajectory”, adding that failure to seize it would make governance even more difficult for future leaders.

“If Tinubu fails, it will be difficult for his successor to fix Nigeria,” the former lawmaker said.
“Our politics is so toxic and hostile that those in government see the opposition as enemies, while those outside power see the government as an enemy. When you have such combative politics, the country will continue to go down the drain.”

Sani, who is also a public commentator and human rights activist, described Nigeria as being at a turning point that demands bold and visionary leadership.
He also lamented the nation’s culture of perpetual politicking, saying it undermines effective governance and national unity.
“We spend more time on politics than on governance, and that is why we are not making progress,” he said.
