The Office of the National Security Adviser (NSA) and heads of key security agencies are set to brief the media later today in response to comments made by former U.S. President Donald Trump over the alleged persecution of Christians in Nigeria.
Eko Hot blog gathered that he announcement was made by the Director-General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, during the National Joint Security Press Briefing held in Abuja on Monday.

Issa-Onilu explained that the session would provide the government’s official position and clarifications on Trump’s recent statement threatening to deploy U.S. troops to Nigeria to combat “Islamic terrorists.”

He noted that the briefing aims to offer accurate information to the public and counter allegations of genocide and religious persecution attributed to the Nigerian government.
“The Office of the National Security Adviser, alongside the nation’s security leadership, will engage the media this afternoon to give a comprehensive response to the claims and update Nigerians on the government’s efforts to address insecurity,” Issa-Onilu said.
