The Executive Chairman of Eredo Local Council Development Area, Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, has reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive development and community–driven governance as he engaged traditional rulers, religious bodies, community associations and interest groups during the 2026 Budget Stakeholders’ Meeting held at the Council Secretariat on Wednesday, November 5, 2025.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Akinloye expressed gratitude for the support that earned him a second term and highlighted key achievements recorded so far, including upgraded classroom blocks in public schools, distribution of over 80,000 exercise books, spelling bee competitions, and ongoing rehabilitation of the 700–metre Odogbawojo road.

He also announced significant progress in water provision across the LCDA.
According to him, “Nine solar boreholes have already been completed across Eredo LCDA and 20 more are set to be delivered. Two of those have already been signed for Iraye-Oke community as we continue ensuring water reaches every community.”
He assured stakeholders of continued focus on roads, potable water, education, healthcare, and empowerment of traders, youths, farmers and entrepreneurs.

The Alara of Ilara, HRM Oba Adelani Adeniyi, commended the Chairman for his performance, confirming that the ongoing road construction and promised solar street lights in his community stand as visible proof of his administration’s dedication.
“The Chairman has done very well in Eredo LCDA. We are witnessing development in our communities,” the monarch affirmed.
The consultation session featured open interaction where monarchs, CDC leaders, CAN, IMAMs, NAPPS, and other stakeholders presented their needs and suggestions.
Requests included more roads, completion of community projects, construction of a CAN chapel, and improved welfare packages for religious leaders.
In response, Akinloye promised attention to all inputs.
“We will attend to all submissions in the 2026 budget, including construction of road projects, a CAN chapel, and monthly allowance for CAN and IMAMS,” he assured.
The Chairman reiterated that his administration will continue to implement people–oriented projects and urged residents to remain engaged in the development process as co–partners in governance.
