Before his release, he was remanded at the Keffi Prison by a Dutse Magistrate Court on Thursday and later transferred to Suleja Prison.

His elder brother, known on Instagram as @Sweezzy1, confirmed the development in a post that read, “Sammy, you are a great man. Bail has been granted! Nigerians, thank you.”
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command had earlier confirmed Sammy West’s arrest and arraignment over alleged criminal activities.
In a statement issued on Friday, November 7, 2025, the Command’s spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, revealed that the arrest followed a petition received on October 28 accusing Sammy and three others of criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, intimidation, theft, and cyberbullying.

According to Adeh, Sammy ignored multiple invitations for questioning, leading officers to obtain a court-issued warrant for his arrest. He was subsequently apprehended in Lagos and transferred to Abuja for further investigation.
She added that the suspect was arraigned on Thursday, November 6, 2025, and ordered to be remanded in prison custody pending the fulfilment of his bail conditions.
“The suspect was charged to court for offences bordering on criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, intimidation, and theft,” the statement read. “He has been remanded by the court until his bail conditions are met.”
