Nigerian Grammy award-winning artist, Burna Boy, sparked outrage on social media after ordering a couple to leave his concert in Denver, United States, on Wednesday night for allegedly sleeping during his performance.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the drama unfolded midway through Burna Boy’s set when he abruptly paused his show to confront the couple seated near the front of the stage.

The singer appeared visibly upset, claiming that the woman’s behavior was disrespectful.

“When I stand up here and see you over there with your girl sleeping in front of me, it pisses me off. So please, take her home. I’m not performing another song till you leave,” Burna Boy reportedly said.
Witnesses noted that the woman initially refused to leave, but the audience joined the singer in urging the couple out of the venue. Burna Boy then resumed his performance to loud applause.

The incident quickly went viral, drawing mixed reactions from fans and critics. While some defended the singer’s demand for energy and engagement during his shows, others criticized him for embarrassing paying fans.
This is not the first time the African Giant has made headlines for ejecting fans mid-performance.
He previously removed a fan who ran on stage to hug him and, on another occasion, ordered out a spectator who refused to dance.
