The Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka, on Sunday, 16th November 2025, attended the Lanre Da Silva 20th Anniversary Fashion Show held at the Royal Box, 65 Adeola Odeku Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Speaking at the event, the Commissioner reaffirmed the State Government’s dedication to strengthening the creative and fashion industries.
She emphasized that the sectors are central to Lagos’ identity as a cultural and tourism powerhouse.

Benson-Awoyinka noted that the government will “continue to support initiatives that position Lagos as a global style capital and empower designers, artisans, and small businesses across the value chain.”
She added that fashion remains a powerful economic driver, saying that “the growth of the fashion industry directly boosts tourism, drives investment, and showcases the ingenuity of Lagos creatives to the world.”
The Commissioner commended Lanre Da Silva for her remarkable contributions, describing her as “a visionary whose impact continues to inspire a new generation of designers and creatives.”
