EKO HOT BLOG reports that the league announced that all matches on the final day will be played simultaneously on May 30, maintaining the long-standing tradition that ensures a fair and dramatic conclusion to the season. Football authorities say the later start was chosen to balance global schedules and protect player welfare.
According to the statement, the new timetable provides an 89-day rest period between the end of the current season and the beginning of the next, alongside 33 additional recovery days after the 2026 World Cup final. The season will also end a week before the Champions League final on June 5, reducing scheduling pressure on clubs competing in Europe.
The 2026–2027 calendar features 33 weekends and five midweek rounds, carefully arranged to avoid clashes with UEFA competitions.

Officials also highlighted adjustments to the festive period, assuring supporters that every club will enjoy at least a 60-hour gap between Christmas and New Year matches, addressing long-standing concerns about the intensity of holiday fixtures.
