The full project scope includes covered drains on both sides of the road and the installation of streetlights to ensure durability, improved flow of traffic, and enhanced public safety.
A project supervisor on-site explained that “the drainage is foundational to the entire road structure, and completing it properly is key to achieving a long-lasting result.”
Residents have expressed cautious optimism as work begins. One community member noted, “The start of drainage work is encouraging. We hope the pace continues so the road can finally be accessible in all seasons.”
The Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA administration stated that the development aligns with its broader infrastructure plan aimed at improving mobility, supporting local businesses, and strengthening community welfare.
Chairman Hon. Wale Anomo reaffirmed this position, saying, “We are committed to delivering projects that serve the people effectively and stand the test of time.”
