Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Wednesday morning convened a meeting of the Lagos State Security Council at the State House Marina.
Eko Hot Blog reports that in a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy Gbenga Omotoso the Council which comprises heads of security agencies in the state met to review the current security situation and ongoing operations across Lagos.

The meeting was chaired by Governor Sanwo-Olu and attended by the General Officer Commanding 9 Brigade, Brigadier General A O Owolabi, Group Captain M A Imam, Commander 651 BSG Nigerian Air Force ,Commodore P P Nimmyel Commander, NNS Beecroft Naval Base Apapa, Commissioner of Police Olohundare Moshood, a representative of the Director of the Department of State Services A B Alade, Secretary to the State Government Barrister Abimbola Salu Hundeyin, Chief of Staff Tayo Ayinde, Chief Security Officer to the Governor CSP Fagbemi Adekunle and Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund Ayo Ogunsan.
After receiving briefings from all security chiefs the Governor expressed satisfaction with the reports and commended the agencies for their commitment.

He urged them to sustain their efforts to ensure that Lagos continues to remain peaceful and secure for residents businesses and visitors.
Governor Sanwo-Olu further assured Lagosians that the Yuletide season will be one of goodwill safety and celebration across the state.
