The Federal Government has taken delivery of another batch of 50 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses as part of ongoing efforts to make transportation cheaper and more sustainable for Nigerians.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the announcement was made by the Chairman of Nordmotion, Ajayi Oluwatobi, in a statement posted on his X account.

He described the delivery as a major step in expanding the country’s cleaner-energy mobility options.
“We are proud to announce the successful delivery of 50 units of our fully CNG-powered buses to the Federal Government of Nigeria,” Oluwatobi wrote.
Nordmotion, an indigenous automobile manufacturer, had earlier supplied an initial set of 50 CNG buses, bringing the total number delivered so far to 100.

The rollout is tied to the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (PCNGI), introduced in 2023 by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to cushion the effects of fuel subsidy removal and promote affordable, safer mass transit solutions nationwide.
