Operatives of the Department of State Services have arrested a medical doctor accused of transporting medical supplies from Sokoto to kidnappers operating in parts of Kwara State.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Security sources said the doctor was apprehended in the Jebba area of Moro Local Government following intelligence indicating that criminal groups had been relying on couriers to obtain medical treatment.

According to DSS sources, the kidnappers have become increasingly desperate for medical attention due to gunshot injuries sustained during recent clashes with security forces.
Troops deployed to Kwara State have intensified operations to flush out armed bandits who infiltrated the state from neighbouring regions. The heightened pressure has reportedly driven the criminals to seek medical supplies covertly.

A security official urged health facilities located near forested or isolated areas to strengthen their security measures, warning that such centres may be targeted by injured kidnappers seeking treatment.
