Sanwo-Olu said the state’s traffic and security agencies have been adequately mobilised to ensure smooth movement and public safety.

“People need to be patient on the road. They are not the only road users,” he said. “LASTMA will be working 24 hours, and we just supported the police with additional vehicles through the Lagos State Security Trust Fund. They will be there to protect you.”
He noted that security and traffic operatives often work late into the night to ensure residents get home safely.
“This is a season of sensitivity, celebrate responsibly. Be your brother’s keeper and respect the rules of the road,” the governor added.
Sanwo-Olu emphasised that Lagos is “heavily ready” for the expected surge in visitors, assuring that necessary provisions have been made to keep the state functional, safe, and welcoming.
“We are ready to make sure the space is available for you and that everything works well,” he said.
