One of the highlights of the event was a motivating speech by Dr. Popoola Sesan, who encouraged beneficiaries not to view themselves as failures.

Also speaking at the event, Dr. Fowowe from the Lagos State University of Education (LASUED) advised them to keep supporting one another and to draw strength from each other.
“Look at your president, despite his physical challenge, he was the one who went around to bring others here. That is the true spirit we must carry,” he said.
He further assured the community that they would not be left behind in ongoing development plans.
“I will inform NGOs and development agencies to come to your aid. You will not be forgotten,” he added.
Dr. Fowowe also commended the convener of the programme, Engr. KennyKadri-Edu, for her consistent advocacy and support.
“Among all the politicians I’ve come across, KennyKadri-Edu stands out. She has been outstanding in helping and remembering people with disabilities. And if God blesses her more, I am sure she will do even more.”
