The Senate has approved the appointment of two commissioners to the National Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), following the conclusion of their screening.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the confirmation was announced during plenary by Senate President Godswill Akpabio after lawmakers adopted the report of the Senate Committee on Power, chaired by Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe.

Those confirmed are Aisha Mahmud Kanti Bello, who returned for another term, and Dr. Animashaun Fouad Olayinka, who joins the commission as a new appointee.
