Popular Nigerian content creator and singer, Oderhohwo Efe, widely known as Carter Efe, has emerged as Africa’s most-followed streamer on Twitch, overtaking previous record holder Shank Comics.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Carter Efe’s rise to the top followed a viral livestream featuring Afrobeats superstar Davido, which sparked massive engagement and rapid follower growth across the platform.

The spike represents an increase of over 160,000 followers within days, largely attributed to the high-profile collaboration with Davido.
The livestream also broke records, becoming the most-viewed Twitch broadcast in Africa, with an estimated 83,000 viewers tuning in simultaneously.
