Nollywood veteran Chinedu Ikedieze, popularly known as Aki, has opened up about his struggles with stunted growth and how it once pushed him to the brink of taking his life.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that speaking in an interview with Chude Jideonwo, Ikedieze revealed that he was taunted and insulted by his peers due to his height. However, he credited education and his mother’s support for helping him rise above the challenges.

He recalled a pivotal moment in his childhood when a doctor diagnosed his condition and reassured his mother that his only limitation was physical. His mother encouraged him to focus on education, as physical labor was not an option for him.
“So I knew that the only weapon I had to conquer the world was education. But it was painful. People taunted me. I cried several times. They called me names. It got so bad that, at times, I thought of ending it all,” he admitted.
