Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced the commencement of nationwide sales of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) at a uniform pump price of ₦739 per litre across all MRS Oil Nigeria Plc filling stations, a move aimed at easing fuel costs and improving stability in the downstream sector.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the refinery, in a statement released on Sunday, confirmed that the new price template will be reflected in more than 2,000 MRS outlets nationwide, ensuring that motorists and consumers across the country benefit from the adjustment.

The company applauded MRS Oil and other marketers that have already aligned with the new pricing structure, urging more operators to follow suit in the collective interest of national economic recovery.
Dangote Refinery noted that the end-of-year period has traditionally been marked by fuel shortages and price surges, but said its intervention this season was designed to reverse that trend and provide relief to Nigerians during the holidays.

Backed by a guaranteed daily supply capacity of 50 million litres, the refinery said the initiative would significantly improve fuel availability and alter supply patterns during periods of peak demand.
By refining petroleum products locally and at scale, the company explained that Nigeria is better shielded from fluctuations in the international oil market, while also conserving foreign exchange, supporting the naira, and strengthening national energy security.
The refinery stated that the sustained price reduction and stable supply are already easing pressure on households, transport operators, and businesses across the country.
It also cautioned against attempts by dishonest operators to deliberately disrupt supply or exploit consumers in response to the new pricing, calling on relevant regulatory agencies to remain alert and enforce compliance.

According to the statement, any move to engineer scarcity or inflate prices was described as harmful to national interest, especially during the festive season when demand is typically high.
Consumers were advised to avoid buying fuel at excessive rates, stressing that quality PMS is readily available at the approved price of ₦739 per litre at MRS stations nationwide.
The refinery encouraged Nigerians to report any MRS outlet selling above the approved rate, providing a dedicated hotline to ensure accountability and transparency.
Dangote Petroleum Refinery also appealed to other filling station operators to patronise its products, saying wider participation would help extend the benefits of price moderation to more Nigerians.
The company reaffirmed its long-term commitment to consistent fuel supply, fair pricing, and national energy security, stressing that its operations are driven by Nigeria’s broader economic interest rather than short-term market pressures.
