Agbaminoja said the security directives were aimed at protecting port users, maritime stakeholders and critical national assets across all port corridors during the festive period.
According to her, enhanced security coverage has been deployed across Apapa Port, Tin Can Island Port, Lekki Deep Sea Port, Kirikiri Lighter Terminal, Ikorodu Lighter Terminal, as well as the marine patrol axis extending up to 12 nautical miles.
She explained that the measures are designed to guarantee seamless port operations amid increased human and vehicular traffic usually associated with the Yuletide season.

To ensure a safe and incident free festive period, the commissioner said the Command has strengthened collaboration with sister security agencies, terminal operators, shipping companies and Port Facility Security Officers (PFSOs) to enable swift and coordinated responses to security concerns.
Agbaminoja added that additional personnel have been deployed to critical locations prone to congestion, while intelligence gathering and surveillance operations have also been enhanced to proactively identify and neutralise potential threats to port safety and national economic assets.
She urged port users and stakeholders to remain vigilant, comply with established security protocols and promptly report any suspicious persons or activities to the nearest Port Police Division or Marine Police Unit.
“The Command reassures port users, maritime stakeholders and the general public of its unwavering commitment to maintaining safety, security and order across all port corridors during the Yuletide period. We remain committed to ensuring that activities within Nigeria’s maritime domain continue smoothly and securely throughout the season and beyond,” Agbaminoja said.
