EKO HOT BLOG reports that the apology followed days of intense public controversy after Ogala accused the cleric of having an affair with her, making marriage promises he later broke, sharing explicit content and allegedly offering her 10,000 dollars to withdraw claims that she was sponsored by rival pastors to damage his reputation.
In a video shared on social media, Okafor was seen addressing worshippers from the pulpit, acknowledging wrongdoing while appealing for forgiveness.
“Listen, we’re not joining issues. Mistakes have been made in the past, and I tender an apology to everybody,” he said.
He specifically mentioned the actress, adding, “I am sorry to everyone I have offended, to Doris Ogala also. I say sorry and apologise to everyone that I’ve offended.”
The pastor stated that he was willing to make amends, saying, “I’m ready to make a restitution to anyone, anybody, any lady I have offended. I am sorry. Forgive me.”
Admitting his imperfections, Okafor said, “Not perfect, I’ve never been perfect,” before kneeling down in front of the congregation and asking for prayers.
Despite the apology, Okafor insisted that many of the allegations against him were untrue, stating that “everything that was said is not true” and describing several claims as lies.
Ogala later reacted during an Instagram Live session, saying she had forgiven the cleric but rejected his assertion that she fabricated the allegations.
“Chris Okafor, I forgive you, but there’s a problem. Where you said everything is a lie. I have a problem with that because I don’t lie,” she said.
The controversy intensified after Okafor reportedly married a new bride, identified as Pearl, earlier in the week, despite Ogala’s claims that he promised to marry her following a relationship she said began around 2017.

Ogala has alleged that the relationship led to emotional distress and contributed to the collapse of her previous marriage. Okafor had earlier said he would allow legal authorities to handle the matter.
