The Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has issued a strong security advisory to residents, urging them to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies to safeguard lives and property across the council area.

Eko Hot Blog reports that in a notice released by the council, residents were cautioned not to allow or harbour strangers within their communities at this time, following intelligence reports indicating that terrorists are currently on the run and fleeing their hideouts.
The advisory emphasized the need for heightened alertness, calling on community members to promptly report any suspicious movement or activity to relevant security agencies for immediate action.
According to the council, proactive collaboration between residents and security operatives is critical to preventing criminal activities and ensuring peace within the local government area.
The Executive Chairman of Eredo LCDA, Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, reaffirmed the council’s commitment to security and called on residents to support ongoing efforts by the government to curb criminality and banditry.
He stressed that security remains a collective responsibility and urged traditional leaders, youth groups, and community associations to sensitize residents and strengthen local vigilance.
The council assured residents that it will continue to work closely with security agencies to maintain peace and stability across Eredo LCDA and its environs.
