The Ibeju-Lekki Local Government has completed the selection of 4,000 residents from the 11,296 individuals listed in the Renewed Hope Social Register to benefit from the Conditional Cash Transfer Programme, marking a major step in grassroots social support delivery.
Eko Hot Blog reports that according to the council, the beneficiaries were chosen strictly on merit, using verifiable criteria that ensured fair inclusion across vulnerable groups.

“The list reflects a balanced representation of widows, unemployed persons, the elderly, persons living with disabilities, and individuals with medical challenges,” the statement noted, emphasizing that the process was driven by transparency, fairness, and accurate data.

To guarantee credibility of the distribution, all selected beneficiaries will undergo a data revalidation exercise, scheduled to be conducted in phases for seamless coordination before disbursement begins.
“We are committed to a process that is clean, accountable, and impactful,” the council assured.
