The General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Dr Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, has issued a solemn spiritual warning ahead of 2026, describing the coming year as swift, unusual and laden with challenges that will require deep prayers and constant spiritual awareness.
Eko Hot Blog reports Speaking during the church’s crossover service held at the MFM Prayer City along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway on Thursday morning, that the fiery cleric said the transition from 2025 into 2026 would not be a clean break, noting that unresolved events and spiritual battles from the outgoing year would flow directly into the New Year.

Dr Olukoya cautioned that 2026 would demand heightened alertness from believers, stressing that hidden forces and destructive agendas would be exposed.

He declared that individuals he described as “evil merchants” operating within the church would face divine judgment, urging such persons to retrace their steps or risk severe consequences.
The MFM leader further warned that dark forces have intensified their operations, particularly targeting children, adding that significant harm has already been done.
He called on Christians to rise aggressively in prayer to prevent looming disasters and strange occurrences, including unexplained fire incidents and sudden crises.

According to him, God’s intervention would be evident across nations, families and institutions, but 2026 would spell sorrow for traitors, betrayers and unfaithful spouses. He stressed that divine justice would be swift and uncompromising.
“God will move through countries, households and churches to both reward obedience and execute judgment,” Olukoya declared.
Despite the grave warnings, the cleric reassured faithful worshippers that the New Year holds hope for those who remain spiritually grounded. He described 2026 as a season of mighty deliverance and renewed glory for committed believers who refuse to compromise their faith.
Drawing from several scriptural references, including Genesis, Psalms, Job and the Gospel of Luke, Olukoya outlined 20 guiding principles for surviving and thriving in the New Year.

These, he said, include consistent fasting and prayer, cultivating bold faith, persistence in spiritual battles, rejecting fear, self-motivation, moral discipline, integrity, diligence and a strong commitment to holiness.
Other principles, he added, involve purposeful living, time management, goal-setting, constant praise, love for others, deep study of the Scriptures and developing the ability to hear clearly from God.
He concluded by urging Christians to take full responsibility for their spiritual growth, warning that only those adequately prepared would successfully overcome the spiritual and physical demands of 2026.
