The Head of the Naval Police, Epe Base, Lagos State, recently promoted to the rank of Commodore, has paid a courtesy visit to the Palace of His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo, Telade IV, the Alara of Ilara Kingdom, in the Epe Division of Lagos State.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the visit also served as the formal introduction of the newly posted Commander to the revered monarch and the people of Ilara Kingdom.

The naval delegation was warmly received at the palace, where discussions focused on peace, security, and sustained collaboration between the Nigerian Navy and the host community.
Welcoming the delegation, the Alara of Ilara Kingdom offered royal blessings and prayers, while reaffirming the palace’s commitment to maintaining peace and harmonious coexistence within Ilara Kingdom and its surrounding communities.
“The palace will continue to support all lawful efforts aimed at sustaining peace, security, and stability in Ilara Kingdom and the Epe Division at large,” the monarch said.
Speaking during the visit, the Naval Police chief described the courtesy call as a gesture of respect and partnership, emphasizing the importance of strong community relations in effective security operations.
“Our visit is to formally introduce ourselves and to reassure the traditional institution of our readiness to work closely with the community in ensuring safety and stability,” he said.
The visit further reinforced the long-standing cordial relationship between the Nigerian Navy and the Ilara Kingdom, highlighting a shared commitment to collaboration in safeguarding lives and property across the Epe Division.
