Tiwa explained that she consciously avoids overindulgence, noting that constant access to luxury can rob children of the hunger needed to pursue big dreams. According to her, ambition is often born from desire and effort, not ease.

She revealed that her 10-year-old son is exposed to everyday realities that encourage gratitude and hard work, including flying economy class on commercial flights when they are not using private jets. Tiwa recalled that Jamil was unhappy during one such trip but said the experience was necessary for character building.
The singer also disclosed that her son must earn certain privileges, such as buying game credits, through household chores or good academic performance, rather than receiving them automatically.

In addition, Tiwa said she enforces strict boundaries around screen time, sweets, and snacks during weekdays, while prioritising nightly Bible study as part of his routine.
According to her, these choices are intentional steps to lay a solid moral and emotional foundation for Jamil, stressing that true love sometimes means saying no and preparing children for life beyond comfort and fame.
