Eko Hot Blog reports that the annual programme, themed “All Power Belong to God” and anchored on Psalm 62:7, attracted traditional rulers, clergy, political office holders, community leaders, and residents from Odo-Noforija and neighbouring communities including Poka, Odomola, Odo-Egiri, Pobo, and Okemagba.
Activities at the event included opening prayers, hymns, praise and worship, intercessory prayers, special musical renditions, Bible reading, a message, and a New Year address by the monarch.
Special prayers were offered for Kabiyesi and his family, other traditional rulers, the Executive Chairman of Eredo LCDA, the Chairman of Epe Local Government, the Lagos State Governor and their executives, as well as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, CAN leadership at all levels, and the peace and prosperity of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Several monarchs graced the occasion, underscoring its importance and wide acceptance.
Among those present were Oba Makun, Oba Aladepekun, the Oba of Araromi, the Oba of Ago-Iwoye, alongside other notable monarchs from within and outside Lagos State.
Commending the initiative, Oba Stephen Adeleke of Oke-Agbo, Ijebu-Igbo, described the programme as inspiring, stating, “I so much admire what I have seen at the palace today, and by next year I will begin the same in my community because a town that begins everything with prayers will surely progress.”

He urged the people of Odo-Noforija to continue supporting their king to sustain development and growth.
In his remarks, Oba Babatunde Olaogun Ogunlaja called on fellow monarchs to embrace similar prayer initiatives in their domains, stressing that collective prayers would foster harmony and shared purpose.
According to him, “I encourage my fellow traditional rulers to take this up in their various communities so that our people can be in one accord and move forward together.”
Speaking further in an interview, the Aladeshoyin explained that the prayer programme has become a strong symbol of unity across faiths in the kingdom.
“This has been a yearly tradition that brings the entire community together. We hold it twice every year, at the beginning of the year and after Ileya.
It unites Muslims, Christians, and traditional worshippers, reminding us that we all serve the same God in different ways,” he said.

In his New Year message titled “Be your brother’s keeper and love your neighbour as yourself,” Kabiyesi urged residents of Odo-Noforija, Eredo LCDA, Epe Division, Lagos State, and Nigeria at large to embrace unity, peaceful coexistence, and love, stressing that national development can only thrive in an atmosphere of peace.
The programme concluded with a general offering and thanksgiving session led by Kabiyesi, as participants expressed gratitude to God and renewed their commitment to peace and communal progress.
