Eko Hot Blog reports that the registration exercise, coordinated by the Lekki LCDA, is open to eligible residents who are 18 years and above. Community members have begun trooping to the registration points to take advantage of the opportunity, which aims to remove barriers to accessing the national identity system.
According to information from the Media Office of the Executive Chairman, residents are encouraged to come with their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) where available. However, the council assured that those without PVCs but who meet the age requirement are equally eligible to register.
The initiative is expected to ease access to essential services that require NIN, while also strengthening government data for effective planning and service delivery.
Residents have been urged not to delay but to promptly participate in the exercise while it is ongoing.
The Lekki LCDA reaffirmed its commitment to bringing government services closer to the people and ensuring that no eligible resident is left out of the national identification process.
