They were received by officials of the council, with the Executive Chairman, Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali, represented by the Secretary to the Local Government, Dr. Bukola Lawal.
During the visit, the proposed site for the Agro Food Hub was presented to the delegation, drawing commendation from the Permanent Secretary, who expressed satisfaction with the level of community participation and the suitability of the location.
“We are impressed with the turnout of stakeholders and the commitment shown by the local government. The State Government remains committed to delivering a befitting agro food hub, as we have successfully done in other parts of Lagos,” he said.

“This project is very important to us as it will significantly boost local commerce, empower traders, and contribute to the overall growth of the community. We are committed to seeing it through to completion,” she stated.
Also speaking, the Supervisor for Agriculture, Hon. Adeleke Olabanjo, highlighted the positive reception of the project among traders, particularly market women.
“The excitement among the market women is very encouraging. This project will reduce the stress of long-distance trading and bring economic opportunities closer to our people,” he noted.
The engagement also provided a platform for key stakeholders to express their support for the initiative. Contributions were made by the Iyaloja General of Lekki LCDA, the Iyalaje of Ise Land, the Seriki of the Hausa Community, youth representatives, and other community leaders, all of whom emphasized the importance of a functional and accessible market system.
