Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of renowned business mogul and Olori Omo Oba of Lagos, Otunba Adekunle Ojora, who passed away in the early hours of Wednesday at the age of 93.
Eko Hot Blog reports that in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Gboyega Akosile, the governor described Otunba Ojora’s passing as a monumental loss to Lagos State, the Nigerian business community and the nation at large.

Governor Sanwo-Olu extended his condolences to the deceased’s wife, Erelu Ojuolape Ojora, as well as his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends and associates, noting that the late patriarch lived a life of service and impact.
“On behalf of my family, the Government and the people of Lagos State, I mourn the death of the business mogul and Olori Omo Oba of Lagos, Otunba Adekunle Ojora, who passed on at the age of 93,” the governor said.

He described the late Ojora as a committed Lagosian who contributed immensely to the development of his community and the growth of the state.
“Otunba Adekunle Ojora was deeply passionate about the progress and development of Lagos State. He was a philanthropist who dedicated his life to serving his community, state and country across different sectors,” Sanwo-Olu stated.
The governor added that as a leading figure in Nigerian private enterprise, Ojora created employment opportunities through his various business ventures within and outside the country, contributing significantly to economic growth.
Governor Sanwo-Olu prayed for the peaceful repose of the late business icon’s soul and asked God to grant strength and comfort to the Ojora family and all those affected by the loss.
