The Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA, has congratulated Alhaji (Chief) Shakiru Akanni Seriki Bamu, GCEC, on his celebration as an exemplary icon by the Epe Club, describing the honour as fitting and well deserved.

Eko Hot Blog reports that in a goodwill message released through his office, Senator Abiru hailed Seriki Bamu as a distinguished member of the Governance Advisory Council and a respected elder statesman whose influence has left lasting footprints across Epe Division and Lagos State.
“On behalf of the good people of Lagos East Senatorial District, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Alhaji (Chief) Shakiru Akanni Seriki Bamu, GCEC, a distinguished member of the Governance Advisory Council, an accomplished political icon of Epe Division, and a respected elder statesman, on his celebration as an exemplary icon by Epe Club.”
The senator described the celebrant as a leader of uncommon wisdom and humility, whose decades of service have contributed significantly to public service, community development, and the upliftment of humanity.
“Your contributions to the growth and development of Lagos State and the upliftment of humanity reflect a deep commitment to public service, community advancement, and the collective good,” he said.
Senator Abiru further noted that Seriki Bamu has remained a bridge between tradition and progress through principled political engagement and community leadership, consistently placing public welfare above personal interest.
