The Nigerian Army Finance Corps on Friday held a valedictory pulling out parade in honour of 10 senior officers who have retired from active service, celebrating their years of dedication and professional contribution to the Nigerian Army.
The ceremony took place at the Nigerian Army School of Signals Parade Ground in Apapa, Lagos, and featured ceremonial displays, tributes and a grand reception attended by senior military officers, families of the retirees and other dignitaries.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the officers honoured at the event include Major Generals KI Yusuf, AA Fayemiwo, J Mohammed, RN Ochei, MO Ihanuwaze, M Galadima and SA Gumel, as well as Brigadier Generals EA Obona, AS Maikano and MK Baba Mallam.
According to a statement issued on Saturday by the Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, 81 Division, Lt. Col. Musa Yahaya, the event attracted serving and retired officers, former Chiefs of Army Staff, corps commanders, captains of industry and family members of the honourees.
Delivering a valedictory address, Major General Kamal Ishola Yusuf (retd.), who served as Special Guest of Honour, described the ceremony as one of the most colourful and dignified parades he had witnessed.
“The military remains one of the few institutions that steadfastly uphold tradition. Such customs form the backbone of its identity and shape its discipline, ethos and collective sense of purpose,” he said.
He described the pulling out parade as evidence that the Nigerian Army and the Finance Corps continue to thrive by preserving their noble heritage.
Yusuf expressed gratitude to God for the safety of the retirees throughout their years of service and thanked the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, for his continued support to the Finance Corps.
He also commended the Chief of Accounts and Budget (Army), Major General TT Sidick, for his role in ensuring the successful organisation of the event.
Highlights of the ceremony included a ceremonial march past, group photographs and the symbolic pulling out parade of the retired officers.

The event concluded with a grand reception at the Command Finance Office, featuring live band performances, cultural displays, comedy presentations and refreshments for guests.
