Nigerian actor Victor Udochukwu Nwaogu, popularly known as Nkubi, has shared that discrimination over his stature played a key role in his decision to pursue acting.
Speaking on a recent episode of the One On One podcast alongside his wife, Eko Hot Blog gathered that Nkubi revealed that he began to fully understand his reality as a little person when he started facing repeated job rejections after finishing secondary school.

“As a child, you hardly understand your differences, but the reality hit me after school when I couldn’t get even minor jobs like others,” he said.

Nkubi also spoke about the challenges his family faces today. He disclosed that their daughter is experiencing online bullying because of her size, echoing the discrimination he endured.
He and his wife explained that they were aware of the likelihood of having a child with dwarfism and were emotionally prepared.

His wife added that while they anticipated some of the backlash, seeing their daughter targeted by trolls online remains painful.
She also shared that a doctor had once advised her to conceive with another man to avoid giving birth to a child with dwarfism, but she firmly declined.
