A Federal High Court in Kano has sentenced Kannywood actress Saadatu Mohammed Inuwa, popularly known as Samha, for mishandling the Nigerian currency.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that the ruling was delivered on February 13, 2026, by Justice S.M. Shuaibu, who found the actress guilty of breaching provisions of the Central Bank of Nigeria Act, 2007.

She was arraigned on a one-count charge related to the improper treatment and defacement of the naira. The court heard that the incident occurred in 2022 within Kano’s jurisdiction.

According to the prosecution, Inuwa tampered with a ₦1,000 note issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria by soiling it with her nose, an act deemed to contravene Section 21(1) of the CBN Act.
When the charge was read in court, she admitted to the offence. Prosecuting counsel Musa Isah then outlined the facts and urged the court to convict her in line with the law.

After considering submissions from both sides, Justice Shuaibu sentenced her to six months’ imprisonment, with an option of a ₦200,000 fine in place of jail time.
