This assurance came during a familiarization visit by the Comptroller of the Lagos State Command, Olofinbiyi Christopher, to the Council Secretariat.
During the meeting, Hon. Princess Surah emphasized that for a community to thrive, there must be a seamless synergy between local authorities and federal security outfits to address emerging challenges effectively.
Welcoming the NIS delegation, the Chairman praised Comptroller Olofinbiyi for his strategic leadership and the professionalism his team has displayed in safeguarding the division.
She noted that the Nigeria Immigration Service plays a vital role in monitoring the movement of people, which is crucial for a fast-growing area like Epe.
To ensure the officers can perform their duties without hindrance, Hon. Princess Surah promised that the Council is ready to provide suitable office accommodation and enhance grassroots sensitization initiatives.

This support is intended to help the NIS manage travel documents and residence permits more effectively while ensuring that illegal immigration within the division remains curtailed. By providing patrol vehicles and logistical support, the council aims to increase the presence of security personnel in remote and border areas.
In her first term, she revolutionized the local economy by focusing on infrastructure and tourism. Notable achievements include the completion of the Shina Dipe Road, constructed with durable interlocking stones, and the building of a modern wooden jetty at Take-Nla Village.
These projects were designed to stimulate water transportation and trade, opening up Epe to more commercial activities.
Her focus on education and health has also been significant, with the construction of six blocks of classrooms at Army Barrack Primary School and 10 units of Doctors’ Quarters at Ojikutu Street, which ensure that medical personnel have a secure and comfortable place to live while serving the community.
Looking forward, the Chairman is not slowing down as she continues to push for a second term centered on sustainable development.

Work is currently nearing completion on several legacy projects, including an ultra-modern Museum and Library Centre right within the Local Government Secretariat.
The facility will become a hub for education, culture, and tourism, preserving the rich history of Epe for future generations. Her administration is also working on a new Health Centre and the “Itoju Awon Agba” initiative, which provides essential welfare and healthcare resources for the elderly.
Additionally, her government is tackling drainage issues with the construction of box reinforced culverts across multiple streets, including Owolomoshe and Shagari Estate, to end perennial flooding.
