Since Carrick took charge, United have only dropped points once, in a 2-2 draw at West Ham on February 10, when Benjamin Sesko’s late strike salvaged a draw for the hosts.

A win against Everton on Monday could see United move above Chelsea into fourth place in the Premier League standings.
When asked about the possibility of Champions League qualification, Carrick said: “It’s encouraging that people are asking about it, it shows we’ve put ourselves in a good position.
But we’re not getting carried away. We know where we stand, and while I’d like us to be even higher, it’s important to stay focused. There’s a lot to be positive about, and it’s now down to us to take the opportunities ahead.”

Under Carrick, United have transformed from sixth in the table when he took over to genuine contenders for European qualification.
A major factor in that resurgence has been Casemiro, the Brazilian midfielder and former Real Madrid star who will leave the club at the end of the season.

Carrick praised Casemiro’s leadership both on and off the field. “Cas has been outstanding since I arrived. Experience counts for a lot when it’s applied in the right way,” Carrick said. “As a senior player, he sets an example, helps the younger players, and shares his knowledge in a positive way.
He’s been exceptional in every respect, and it’s been a pleasure to work with him. I’m looking forward to making the most of the next few months with him.”
As United look to build on their momentum, Carrick’s focus remains on consistent performances and capitalizing on opportunities rather than getting swept up in speculation about European football.
