The news of his death was confirmed on Tuesday night by fellow actor, Jeff ‘Tony Montana’ Owolewa, in a video shared on Instagram. He disclosed that Okemesi was pronounced dead at 11:50 a.m. on February 24, 2026.

Speaking in the video, Tony Montana announced the development on behalf of the family, stating that the late actor’s body had been deposited in the morgue. He expressed appreciation to everyone who offered financial and moral support during Okemesi’s illness, praying for blessings upon those who contributed.
He also appealed to the public to stop sending donations to the previously circulated account number, noting that it would be deactivated to prevent further transactions.
