After being released on bail in October, Darlington insisted that he would not stop criticizing Burna Boy until he received compensation.
However, Darlington was rearrested during a performance in Imo State on November 27, 2024, and subsequently held in Kuje prison for over two months before being released on January 21, 2025.

Reacting to the singer’s release, Burna Boy issued a stern warning on Instagram, stating, “If you like misbehave again, you’ll go back to where you come from! And this time around, there will be no mercy! Don’t m*ss with ODG.”
