The veteran striker, who joined FC Barcelona from Bayern Munich in 2022, has been a key figure at the club, scoring more than 100 goals in all competitions.

However, with the Polish international approaching his 38th birthday, the club is reportedly reluctant to extend his deal, while interest from teams in Major League Soccer continues to grow.
Lewandowski’s influence in the squad has already begun to shift this season, with some of his appearances in La Liga coming from the bench.
Head coach Hansi Flick has also experimented with other attacking options, including using Ferran Torres as a central striker. However, Torres has yet to fully convince as a long-term solution in that role.

As a result, Barcelona’s recruitment team has stepped up its search for a new centre-forward. Reports indicate that Osimhen, currently playing for Galatasaray, is among the strikers being evaluated.
The Nigerian international has built a reputation as one of Europe’s most dangerous attackers thanks to his speed, strength in the air, and sharp finishing.
Another player on Barcelona’s radar is Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush, who is contracted to Manchester City. Both attackers are viewed as potential alternatives should the club fail to secure its top targets.

Barcelona’s preferred option is believed to be Julián Álvarez of Atlético Madrid. The Argentine striker is highly regarded by the club’s sporting director Deco, who sees him as a strong long-term successor to Lewandowski due to his versatility and movement in attack.
The club is also known to admire Harry Kane of Bayern Munich, although a move for the England captain appears unlikely because of his age and the enormous financial package required.
With Álvarez expected to command a transfer fee exceeding €100 million and Atlético under little pressure to sell, Barcelona could ultimately turn to more attainable options such as Osimhen or Marmoush if negotiations for their primary targets prove too costly.
