EKO HOT BLOG reports that the development was disclosed in a statement shared by Atiku via his Facebook account on Wednesday.
He said the meeting focused on discussions around the progress of the African Democratic Congress and efforts to promote good governance.
“I paid a courtesy visit to the residence of my brother and partner, His Excellency Rabiu Kwankwaso, this afternoon. We had quality discussions on the progress of our party, the ADC, and how we must continue the work to ensure good governance and recovery are achieved in good time for the people,” Atiku wrote.
The meeting marks the first official engagement between the two political figures following Kwankwaso’s defection from the New Nigeria Peoples Party to the ADC.

Meanwhile, the ADC has alleged that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has launched a fresh plan to destabilize the opposition party.
The ADC claimed that the APC has scheduled a public protest for Thursday, 2nd April, in Abuja for a paid crowd to pose as aggrieved party members and demand that the National Chairman of the party, “David Mark Must Go.”
The ADC, in a statement on Wednesday by its National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, alleged that a serving Minister is behind the planned protest.
