EKO HOT BLOG reports that for the second consecutive season, England is expected to have five representatives in Europe’s top club competition, raising the stakes in the race for the top positions.
According to the projections, Arsenal and Manchester City have effectively secured their places among the top five.
Both sides have maintained consistent performances throughout the campaign, strengthening their chances of qualification.
Opta’s model also identifies Manchester United, Liverpool and Aston Villa as strong favourites to claim the remaining three spots.
The data shows that each of the three clubs has a 97 percent probability of finishing in the top five, highlighting their advantage over other contenders.
Despite the projections, the race among the trio remains competitive, with only three points separating them on the table.
Aston Villa and Liverpool currently occupy fourth and fifth positions respectively, holding an eight point lead over sixth placed Brighton.
The margin is seen as a key factor giving the three clubs a strong position as the season approaches its final stages.
With the expanded Champions League format allowing five English teams to qualify for the second consecutive year, the Premier League is set to maintain a strong presence in European football.

If the projections hold, Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Aston Villa will represent England in next season’s competition.
