EKO HOT BLOG reports that Osifo spoke on Sunday shortly after Tinubu was declared winner of the APC nationwide direct presidential primary conducted across 8,809 wards on Saturday.
President Tinubu polled 10,999,162 votes to defeat Osifo, who secured 16,503 votes in the exercise.
Reacting after the collation and declaration of results at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja, Osifo said he was unhappy with the outcome but remained committed to the ruling party.
“I’m not okay with the outcome of the results. And I’m working with the party, I’m working with the candidate of the party as well. I have no problem with it,” he said.
The businessman explained that his participation in the primary election was not a personal battle against Tinubu but part of the democratic process within the APC.
According to him, members of the ruling party remain united despite the contest.
“We are one party, we are members of the All Progressives Congress, we are one family.
“So we are not challenging ourselves. What we did was to have within ourselves who would become the candidate of the party.
“So where we are now, we have that already today,” Osifo stated.
Osifo also welcomed Tinubu’s post primary message in which the president said he held no grudge against him and other political opponents.
The APC presidential aspirant described the president’s gesture as necessary for party unity, stressing that no politician could succeed without teamwork and collective support.
“That is why we are working together. We are one party, so we must work together. Nobody is an island.
“Even if I had become the candidate today, I cannot work alone. I need a team.
“So offering an olive branch is something that everybody would want to support the president for,” he added.
Osifo, who reportedly purchased the APC nomination form for ₦100 million after a proposed consensus arrangement failed, said he still had a future in politics.
“I am a very young man. I have a lot of years ahead of me, so it’s possible for things to happen.
“But I think God knows better, and God knows tomorrow. So let’s just hope on God and work as we move forward,” he said.
The businessman also appreciated his supporters across the country for standing by him throughout the exercise.
According to him, his campaign structure extended across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, including local governments and wards nationwide.
Tinubu’s victory in the APC presidential primary formally confirmed him as the party’s candidate for the 2027 presidential election.

Despite suffering a heavy defeat and reportedly recording zero votes in some states, Osifo insisted he would remain in the APC and continue working with the party leadership ahead of the general elections.
