The Executive Chairman of Eredo Local Council Development Area, Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, has continued to prioritize the security of lives and property through strategic investments and sustained support for security agencies operating within the council area.
Eko Hot Blog reports that over the past four years, the administration has recorded significant progress in strengthening the security architecture of communities across Eredo LCDA, resulting in a noticeable reduction in criminal activities and improved public safety.
Recognizing that security remains a critical foundation for peace, development, and economic growth, Hon. Akinloye has consistently implemented measures aimed at enhancing the operational capacity of security agencies and local security outfits.
As part of these efforts, the administration provided two patrol vehicles to the Nigeria Police Force and also supported the Muwon Vigilante Group and the Eredo Security Forum (ESF) with operational vehicles and motorcycles to improve surveillance, patrol activities, and rapid response to emergencies.
Beyond the provision of equipment, the council has maintained regular support through the payment of monthly security allowances to key security stakeholders, including the Nigeria Police Force, Nigerian Army, Eredo Security Forum (ESF), Muwon Vigilante Group, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC), and other security partners.
These interventions have strengthened collaboration among security agencies, improved intelligence gathering, enhanced response times, and contributed significantly to maintaining peace and order across the LCDA.
Residents have continued to commend the administration’s commitment to security, noting that the improved security environment has encouraged business activities and enhanced community development.
Hon. Akinloye reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sustaining ongoing security initiatives while continuing to work closely with security agencies and community stakeholders to ensure Eredo LCDA remains peaceful, safe, and conducive for all residents.
According to him, effective governance can only thrive in an atmosphere of peace and security, assuring residents that his administration will continue to invest in initiatives that protect lives and promote development.
The council chairman emphasized that security remains everyone’s responsibility and called on residents to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies by providing useful information when necessary.
