Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has praised the Nigerian military for rescuing 360 people who were being held by insurgents in the Mandara Mountains area of southern Borno.
In a statement issued on Sunday through his media aide, Eko Hot Blog gathered that Dauda Iliya, the governor described the operation as a major breakthrough in the fight against terrorism and a reflection of the military’s growing success in intelligence-driven operations.

According to Zulum, the mission led by troops of Operation HADIN KAI resulted in the safe recovery of hundreds of women, men and children who had been held captive by terrorists.

He said the development has brought renewed hope to affected communities and reinforced confidence in ongoing efforts by the Federal Government and security agencies to restore peace across the North-East.
