He alleged that the accusations were being spread by opposition parties seeking excuses for their expected poor performance at the polls.

According to the lawmaker, there was no evidence of vote trading at his polling unit or elsewhere, insisting that voters freely exercised their democratic rights.
“You can look around and see for yourself. Have you seen anyone buying votes or exchanging money for votes? These allegations always surface when some people realise they are losing an election,” he said.
Adaramodu maintained that the atmosphere at polling centres reflected the willingness of residents to participate in the electoral process rather than any form of coercion.
He argued that the APC had no reason to engage in vote buying, stressing that the party relied on its record in government to earn public support.

“Our responsibility is to deliver good governance. Once we have done that, we leave the decision to the electorate on election day. We have never relied on vote buying, and we have no reason to start now,” he added.
The senator challenged anyone with credible evidence of electoral malpractice involving the APC to present it publicly.
He further suggested that opposition parties, lacking widespread support, were responsible for circulating the allegations after failing to gain traction with voters.
Adaramodu also praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies and other stakeholders for ensuring a peaceful and orderly electoral process across the state.
