Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving the welfare and educational development of pupils with the official flag-off of the “Adopt A School – Snacks for Thought (SFT) PBAT FEEDS” initiative across the council area.

The Chairman was represented at the event by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Lateef Adesanya, who inaugurated the programme on behalf of the council.
The initiative, implemented under the Renewed Hope National Home-Grown School Feeding Programme (NHGSFP) by the National Social Investment Programmes Agency (NSIPA) in partnership with the Lagos State Government, is designed to improve child nutrition, increase school enrolment and attendance, and enhance learning outcomes among pupils in public primary schools.
The flag-off ceremony attracted the wife of the Executive Chairman, Supervisors, Special Advisers, officials of the Education Management Authority, head teachers, teachers, and other stakeholders, all of whom expressed optimism about the impact of the programme on education and child development in Eredo LCDA.
Speaking on behalf of Hon. Akinloye, Hon. Adesanya commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for introducing the Renewed Hope Agenda, describing the school feeding programme as a strategic investment in the future of Nigerian children.
“The Renewed Hope National Home-Grown School Feeding Programme demonstrates the Federal Government’s commitment to improving the health, nutrition, and education of our children. It is an initiative that will positively influence learning and the overall wellbeing of pupils,” he said.
He assured residents that the Akinloye-led administration would continue to support programmes that promote quality education, child welfare, and sustainable development across Eredo LCDA.
“Our administration remains committed to creating an enabling environment where every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and achieve their full potential. We will continue to partner with all relevant stakeholders to improve educational outcomes and enhance the welfare of our pupils,” Adesanya added.
Stakeholders at the event applauded the initiative, expressing confidence that the programme would encourage regular school attendance, improve classroom concentration, and contribute to better academic performance among pupils in public primary schools across the council area.
