Operatives of the Anambra State security outfit, Operation Udo-ga-achi, have arrested a young man, Chidozie Onyenka, over the alleged murder and mutilation of his father in Amaigbo, Nanka, Orumba North Local Government Area.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the arrest followed a viral video in which the suspect allegedly confessed to killing his father by slitting his throat before severing his genital, which he claimed was later abandoned at Ududo, Nanka.

During interrogation, Onyenka claimed he acted in self defence, alleging that his father had attempted to kill him during a confrontation.
He also implicated an alleged accomplice, identified as Chidiebere Ohakari, who is currently on the run.
According to the suspect, his family had previously been involved in suspected ritual practices. He alleged that his mother introduced him to a native doctor for an oke-ite ritual, during which the practitioner demanded human body parts to complete the process. Onyenka claimed he paid ₦200,000 for the ritual but had not seen the native doctor since then.
The suspect further told investigators that the incident was triggered by a dispute over money from the sale of a machine.

He alleged that his father sold the machine to raise funds for his bail after an earlier legal issue. However, when he demanded the balance of the proceeds, his father refused.
According to his account, the disagreement escalated after he seized his father’s food. He claimed his father then threatened him with a knife, but he overpowered him, took the weapon and allegedly slit his throat before mutilating the body.
Security operatives said investigations are ongoing, while efforts have been intensified to apprehend the fleeing suspect allegedly linked to the crime.
