A woman has been allegedly killed by a man who took her to a hotel room in Girei, an urban community near Yola, the Adamawa State capital.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the victim, whose identity had yet to be fully established as of the time of filing this report, was reportedly attacked inside the hotel room on Friday afternoon.

Sources said the woman and the suspect were heard arguing loudly before people in the area reportedly heard sounds of a fight coming from the room.
A source familiar with the incident said people forced their way into the room and found the woman lying in a pool of blood with a deep cut to her neck.

The suspect was subsequently apprehended by members of the public and handed over to the police, who arrived at the scene and took over the investigation.
The victim’s body was later removed from the hotel.
The Adamawa State Police Public Relations Officer, who was contacted shortly before this report was filed at about 7:30 p.m. on Friday, confirmed the incident.
The circumstances surrounding the alleged killing and the identity of the suspect were yet to be fully established as police investigation continued.
