Job Summary
We seek a highly skilled Accountant to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for auditing financial documents, reconciling bank statements, computing tax payments, managing financial records, and supporting business planning and performance management.
Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting transactions and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare budget forecasts and handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable while ensuring timely bank payments.
- Compute taxes, prepare tax returns, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Maintain balance sheets, profit/loss statements, and monitor financial health.
- Audit financial transactions, maintain general ledger records, and provide financial reports.
- Implement financial control systems and support external audit processes.
- Develop cost accounting systems for effective cost management.
Requirements & Skills
- B.Sc / HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 4-5 years of accounting experience.
- ICAN, ACCA, or other professional certifications (an added advantage).
- Proficiency in general ledger functions and hands-on experience with SAGE accounting software.
- Strong skills in MS Office, especially Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be tech-savvy and adaptable to digital financial systems.
Salary: N140,000 – N160,000 Monthly
