The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has secured a clean sweep in the Adamawa State local government elections, winning all 21 chairmanship seats and all 226 councillorship positions across the state.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that the results were officially announced in Yola by the Chairman of the Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC), Mohammed Umar, after the completion of collation from all wards.

Umar declared that the PDP dominated the polls held across 226 wards, emerging victorious in every contest for both chairmanship and councillorship positions statewide.
The announcement was made in the presence of security agencies, election observers, political party representatives and electoral officials at the commission’s headquarters.

Although the commission confirmed the total victory for the PDP, it did not disclose the total number of votes cast during the exercise.
The ADSIEC chairman praised residents for their peaceful conduct during the elections, noting that their cooperation contributed to a smooth and orderly process.
He also commended security operatives and stakeholders for ensuring a peaceful electoral exercise across Adamawa State.
